Candle Holders From Reclaimed Wood

There are many things people do with their old Christmas trees or broken fence posts, including throwing them in the garbage. Instead of disposing of them or turning them into mulch, I decided to do something different.

I have often been accused of holding onto old junk and have been asked what I planned to do with it. More than not I don’t have an immediate answer. But it makes me feel good when I finally find something to do with an item I chose not to toss out.

With Thanksgiving and Christmas quickly approaching, I thought this would be a good time to make some new candle holders. Last year I made a very basic, rustic candle holder. I knew I wanted to make some that were different, but it took me until now to actually do it (this past year has not been easy).

They are finally finished, and I think I’m ready to try out some new designs using reclaimed wood. Now on to the next project.
